ROCKY TOP!!

Before my sister Melissa (right) and her friend Sara (left) departed on Sunday this last weekend, we drove to the Foothills Parkway and got to see the "hills" at their peak color. The top of the mountain at Clingman's Dome had already lost the leaves and it actually snowed there last week. As I explained to them, the Foothills are the "hills" at the "foot" of the Smokies. Clingman's dome is the top of the Smokies and the highest peak in the 1/3 left-most of this picture. The Blue-ridge runs behind the Smokies and is off to the right behind the colored trees. Townsend is the small green pasture area at the bottom of the hills'.

Here I am waiting for our first trick or treaters. We played some scary music over the speakers very loudly and you could hear it from the street. Apparently my $1 Wal-Mart mask was very scary and little Nemo's friend cried. And then her mom chewed me out for making her daughter cry. I have a tendency to do that. Also, Sweet P says that you arent supposed to take pictures of the kids in their costumes because then I would look like a predator.... One other note of interest, no one wanted to "trick" when I requested; they only wanted the treats. My first time for trick or treating and no tricks, damn the luck.

Then it rained. So now we have a ton of left over candy for Z's co-workers. Jake and Picasso did very well with their bones, but after they were done, each piece of candy that hit the floor was a goner - that wont be pleasant in a few hours....

Poor Timmy!

Timmy decided to play rough with the puppies tonight and got his... Picasso flew off of the couch onto Timmy's head. Timmy now has a huge lump on his head. At the time he started crying but I still haven't been able to decide if it was because he was hurt or if he was just laughing too hard. I finally got his profile up on facebook.com so you should check it out.

These are our babies :) Picasso is on the left and Jake is on the right. This is pretty much how they spend their evenings when they aren't playing fetch or rough housing. SoSo just got over an ear infection so she's still trying to get back into the swing of things. Tim would like everyone to know that he calls them "Booger and Son of Sam". Jake is Booger and SoSo is Son of Sam.

Hello world! We are trying to be internet savy. Good luck to us :) This will be a good way to keep in touch with our friends all over the US but especially in Indiana. Tim will be heading to the Virgin Islands soon. It will be nice for him to be able to post pictures of "da beach, boyyeee". I'll also be able to post pictures of our life here in (crazy) Greenback, Tennessee. You haven't met rednecks until you have come to visit us here. Where else could you see a bacon farm type pig that lives inside of a house just down the road, an SUV driving down the interstate with a very nice casket hanging out the back, and extemely bad driving.
