Christmas in Gatlinburg

Z and I went to Gatlinburg for our annual tradition of going to see lights and have a relaxing evening with just the two of us. It is one of the traditions we intend to carry on during our many years ahead. Past expereinces have been wonderful Terre Haute, Indianapolis, and Lafayette. This is the walkway down mainstreet Gatlinburg. Our evening was filled with some ale at the Smoky Mountain Brewery; a ski lift ride up Davy Crockett Mountain; a trolley ride around Gatlinburg; and some wonderful fresh fudge!

Angel Stan

Taken at Tim James' wedding. Apparently this usher has had too much too drink, and is on top of our clown car rental (PT Cruiser). It didnt help that the picture taker was also had a few "Jack mixed with some Jack mixed with some more Jack, and topped off with a little more Jack" drinks and couldnt figure out how to use his camera.

UPDATE

The new car has been cutely named "Kendra."

Why, no one really knows whats going on in her head, but I have frequent conversations with her without words, but somehow I got left out of this conversation.

We Bought a NEW Car!!

Ok, so the Hummer picture is a joke, but pretty funny though. Our actual new car is the 2007 Nissan Sentra pictured with both of us. Z is very happy because this is her FIRST brand new car EVA!!

We got a great deal on the old cavalier, which coincidentally had a heart attack when we pulled into the dealer lot. If you know anything about TN and ALCOA Hwy (pronounced "I'll-KILL-YA" Highway); you would know how hard it is to cross just 2 measly lanes of traffic near the airport, not to mention it was RUSH hour on a Friday evening. I had to make a break for it and it must have been too much for the ol' cavalier to handle. When I put it into park, the car revved all the way up on its rpms (redlined) and then it died. I tried to re-start, but no luck. So needless to the say, the Dealer got an excellent deal on our trade in ;) It was sad to see old goldie parked there when we left, but we hope she goes to a good home or homes.

BackBlogged!

We learned of this new term from Small Town Sophisticate ;)

If you dont blog for a while, and are back logged on blogs, this makes you backblogged. So there you have it; we will try and do better, and we have a lot of stories to blog blogs about.

After a few "blunders", the 'Jolly Santas" and Christmas Trees are complete!! Dont they look wonderful! Yes, it may be the first weekend in December, but our 2st annual Christmas Party is next weekend, so we started early. Prior to the party, we will be making peppermint white chocolate bark, Chili, cheeseball, punch, lil' smokies, and an assortment of other treats! Be sure to check back for an update on the party :)
