I had to finally blog about this pig here in Tenessee. This is the house we pass on our way into town that has about 100 dogs and a pig. This is no pot belly pig either. It is very much a farm bacon type pig. This pig is not always in sight though, it does live inside of the house. The other kinda weird part of this story is that I seriously do not think this is the same pig that lived there this time last year. I guess they want to fatten thier pig up themselves before putting it into their freezer.
Another very weird thing happened today. Tim and I went to an afternoon matinee and got 2 med drinks and a large popcorn. On the side of the popcorn there was a little floss pick in plastic attached. Is this happening all over the country or just here in Tenessee. I seriously doubt this state is taking up the cause of personal hygene. Since I'm talking about the movies I'll rant a little more. Why in the world do we need to watch 10 movie premiers and 5 commercials before actually getting to the movie we paid to watch? I had to pee before the movie started. It's just crazy.
Anyway, I also have some sad news from Tenessee. Tim and I have made the decision to stay home for the holidays. We will not be coming home until sometime in January. Tim is going to take over some projects for other people while they take their vacation time before the end of the year. He'll be traveling a lot and working up until very close to the holidays. We love our family and friends but all that traveling takes it out of us. It is also difficult for us to board the dogs around the holidays. We'd rather come home for an entire week to enjoy our stay and not be running from one set of parents to the other's. We plan to start our own holiday traditions here. Our first project is to figure out how to keep the dogs from knocking the tree down again this year. Jake could have died from the ordeal last year. It was a mess and it still smells like pine needles in the family room.
